Here's my new idea for soundscape 9 for our summer project. I like the twist in the the narrative and i think with the happy mood and tempo of the music, there will be an element of surprise...
- A town seems abandoned but there is confetti on the floor and banners and decorations are hanging through the streets, implying there is some sort of parade/carnival…
- A Parade comes through town but still there is no one in sight…
- As the parade leaves, the music slows and it is revealed that this is actually a music box as the lid closes and the key begins to stop turning…
- The music box is the only thing in an abandoned room which turns out to be a toy shop and as we pull away and out of the shop window we see that the street in the music box is a replica of the actual town and the street has been abandoned…
nice! Check out the concept of the 'mise en abyme' ...
