Thinner horse character and leg design...

Today i tried a design for a thinner version of the horse character i drew yesterday, which wasn't successful at all. I find that the proportions are all wrong and the drawing just doesn't look right. On the other hand i tried a quick design for the leg/hand including one of the clothing designs i had previously drawn on the sketchbook. I feel this works successfully could definitely be used in the final design of my character.
